Grandchildren
Just before Christmas, we have quickly took some pictures for grandma of her grandchildren. Since it was quite late and the kids were hungry or tired, it was not that easy to take some good pictures in a few minutes. But the effort was worth it and Grandma was thrilled!

50th Birthday
On Saturday I photgraphed on a 50th birthday party. The evening was accompanied by a band and loosened by some show acts, the location was really great.

Sunset

ND 3.0 Filter
I recently got myself a new filter, the HiTech ND 3.0 Pro. I wanted to replace the B + W 1000x Pro as the eternal on and off screwing of the filter is a bit annoying. You can quickly and easily slide the HiTech ND 3.0 Pro into the filter holder, which makes photography a lot more comfortable (especially during inclement weather). To compare whether there are differences between the two filters, I made a few test shots.
The B + W 1000x Pro has a light, warm reddish tint and the HiTech ND 3.0 Pro has a cold blue tint. Without post-processing the photos with the HiTech ND 3.0 Pro are useless, I like the photos with the B + W 1000x Pro much better. In addition, incoming sun rays are visible with the HiTech ND 3.0, which is already annoying.
You do not need that much post-processing with the B + W 1000x to get a good result. The processing of images with the HiTech ND 3.0 Pro, however, is a greater effort: the white balance must be vastly increased and the colors must be adjusted in the areas of hue, saturation and luminance.
The handling and the results with the two filters are very different. When making the photo itself the Hitech ND 3.0 is much more pleasant, but the result and the post processing are better with the B + W 1000x Pro. I can not say exactly which filter generally is better now, because each has its pros and cons and you can get a good result with both filters. But I would rather tend to the B + W 1000x Pro because it is more reliable and I do like the final results a little bit more.
