Kinderdijk
On the way back from Noordwijk, we made a short stop at the windmills of Kinderdijk. As I have already intend to go here in time, we only stayed for a short time. Therefore I have made only a few snapshots!

Noordwijk
At the end of october we stayed for a weekend in Noordwijk in the Netherlands. Gabriel and Sally could not get enough of the beach and sea. That was actually a photo-free weekend, so I only did a few snapshots:

Berchtesgaden 2012
In August 2012, we stayed for a week in Berchtesgaden. We had an apartment right in Berchtesgaden and have done a lot in the close area.

Hintersee
The Hintersee is really a nice place to relax, we have been here quite often for a walk. The trail offers many different views of the lake. The landscape, the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the clear water are fascinating in any weather.

Gollinger waterfall
We made a short tour from Berchtesgaden to Austria to the Golling waterfall. After walking past an old mill, you get to the 25 meter high waterfall.

Eagle's Nest
The driveway with special buses on the Kehlsteinstraße is already a wonderful experience with a great view, it is one of the most beautiful mountain roads. Through the 124 meter long tunnel and the elevator 124 meter in height, you end up directly in the Eagle's Nest. The historical significance of the incredible location and the great panoramic views are definitely worth a visit. The exhibition documentation Obersalzberg and the visit of the bunkers are very interesting and show the hard reality and the inhumanity of the Second World War.

Königssee
The Königssee really is a must have seen, the great location and the shimmering green water are an absolutely beautiful sight. We first hiked the painter angular tour, where you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Königssee. We were a little bit stupid, and have taken the boat to St. Bartholomew at prime time, so we had a little waiting time. There we went along the shore and enjoyed the beautiful view. Apart from the long waiting times at the jetty it was a great, relaxing trip.

Maria Gern
Maria Gern is a small church above Berchtesgaden. With the great location and the Watzmann in the background it is a very nice photo motif at any weather.

Berchtesgaden
In August, we stayed for a week in Berchtesgaden. The Berchtesgadener Land is a great area where you can do a lot. Here are a few photos from around Berchtesgaden: the Locksteinkapelle in Berchtesgaden, the Church in Ramsau and the Oberahornalm at the Rossfeld panorama road!

Lake Garda 2012
In August we spent a few days in Italy on Lake Garda. We were invited to a wedding there and before we have spent two more days in Bardolino. Bardolino is a small, beautiful town on Lake Garda with narrow streets and a great atmosphere. Our hotel was very centrally located, about 50 meters from the harbor. The weather was great and we really enjoyed our time there.

Lazise
Lazise is a small town near Bardolino, we rather get here by chance. But it is absolutely worth seeing, a beautiful small harbor and a great fortress give a certain flair. Since we were only passing through there, I did not really have much time to take pictures. Maybe we'll come here again!

Sweden 2012
In July 2012, we spent two weeks in a cottage on the island of Tjörn in western Sweden, it was our first real holiday with Gabriel. Since there were a lot of new experiences for him, we are actually only stayed in the nearby area. At that time the Stena Match Cup 2012 took place in Marstrand, a major event on this small island is somehow interesting. Otherwise, we have made some walks and were on the sea and at some beaches with Gabriel, especially the gulls and sheep have pleased him very much. Of course we were in Gothenburg the one time or another, visited my sister and her family and went as always shopping. We spent half a day at the Universeum in Gothenburg, especially the underwater world was very interesting for Gabriel! It was a nice, relaxing holiday and it was a lot of joy to watch Gabriel exploring the world!
