Balve Optimum 2012
Of 31st May to 3rd June in 2012 the German championships in show jumping and dressage takes place in Balve. Also for not riding enthusiasts such a big event is quite interesting. The different jumping competitions were really impressive, because the obstacles are not really low. But the dressage tests were anything but boring, especially the appearance of Totilas was of course worth seeing, even though he "only" did the second place!
It was a nice family day, we looked at several competitions and have gone a little over the area. While walking, we hit the worth of a million horse Totilas and could even touch it. And we've met the equestrian legend Ludger Beerbaum. Next year we will definitely go back to Balve optimum, if we will have the time.
